Our Spanish Language School in Madrid, Spain

At our Spanish language school in Madrid, our aim is to create a fun and relaxing environment, where learning Spanish becomes a pleasure rather than a struggle. We work in small groups of four to a maximum of eight students. This ensures a personal and efficient service. We offer intensive and regular courses in general Spanish, crash Spanish courses, One to One, preparation for the examinations (DELE, A-levels, etc.) and special courses for groups.

The school is located in the historical centre of Madrid. It is half a minute's walk from the Puerta del Sol and two minutes from the Gran Vía. Most of the big shopping streets, the Plaza Mayor and the Palacio Real are within comfortable walking distance.

Our students come from all over the world and are on average aged between 18 and 32 years. The biggest groups of students we receive are from Europe and North America. At our Spanish language school in Madrid, we do not accept people under 16 years of age and our teaching methodology as well as after class activities are designed for adults.

Our teachers are all native speakers. They have a university degree focused in teaching languages and are experienced in teaching Spanish to foreigners. We have trained our teachers to follow the school's methodology and philosophy. You will find that our teachers are people who enjoy working with you rather than just being pure information providers.

Our concept is based on communicative methods, in which we combine grammar, communication and cultural knowledge. We want you to get used to speaking Spanish from your first day in the classroom.

Module + 5 (Spanish Culture Course) an extra class of Spanish culture with a different topic everyday: Spanish cinema, Spanish music, Spanish arts, Spanish cuisine, Spanish literature...

The Module + 5 is not recommended for absolute beginners (unless they speak or are familiar with Portuguese, Italian or French). Max. number of participants: 12

Group Spanish Language Courses include:

• Average of four to five students per class (maximum eight)
• Offered in levels Beginner to Superior and throughout the year
• Course start every Monday (except absolute beginner level).
• Usually in the mornings, Monday to Friday
• Each class last 45 minutes.
• There is a short break in each teaching block where you can talk to other students, check your emails, get refreshment and get ready for the next part of the class.
• All additional teaching materials will be provided.
• After your course, you can take part in our activities.

Professionals / students who are not able to follow a scheduled course in-group

Professionals / students with specific needs

Students who would like to improve their individual language skills in a very fast way and who do not want to / cannot attend a scheduled course in-group usually take One to One Spanish Courses and our school in Madrid. Although, many students also combine One to One Courses with Intensive Spanish Courses in order to get as much out of their stay in Madrid as possible.

One to One Spanish courses are more personalized and focused on the individual needs of the student (e.g. special grammar topics, business issues, Spanish for law, Spanish for tourism, etc.)

One to One Courses provide a more flexible timetable where the student decides when to take the class.

Our Individual Spanish Language Courses include:

• Each class lasts 60 minutes
• Flexible timetable, Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 21.00
• offered in levels Beginner to Superior Plus (A1-C2) and throughout the year
• All additional teaching materials will be provided.
• After your course, you can take part in our activities.
• If two students attend the class together, the second student pays 50% of the price per hour
• Availability of taken the One to One Courses outside of our facilities at an extra cost (service available only for companies at their offices).

DELE Exams - Diploma Internacional de Español

The DELE exam is the official Spanish exam from the Instituto Cervantes. It is offered in three different levels. The exams take place three times a year in and outside Spain. In order to get prepared for these exams, our language school offers preparation courses which make you familiar with the exam structure and trains you for the exam.

Our Spanish school in Madrid is an Examination Center for the Diploma Internacional de Español, which is recognized by the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. You can take this exam at our school during the whole year. Please contact us for fees and schedules.

Learn Spanish in Madrid, Spain - Accommodation:

We offer an accommodation service for our students. There are four different possibilities:

Family stay

Family stays are for period of minimum one month and for people under 20 years of age. You have to accept the rules of the family and will be integrated in their "life". Breakfast and dinner (at weekends also lunch) are usually included in the price.

• Rarely located in the city center, rather in neighborhoods (average 15-30 min. by public transportation).
• Not recommended for students over 20 years old
• Minimum stay: 4 weeks
• Breakfast or half board available
• Double rooms are rarely available
• You have to abide by the rules of the host family concerning smoking, visitors, timetables, use of the kitchen and use of the phone.
• Average family members: three
• Shared kitchen and washing machine (usually operated by the family)
• Usually you have to share the bathroom but some rooms have their own bathroom
• All bills (apart from telephone) are included in the price
• Bed linen and blankets are available (not towels).

Shared Apartments

If you would like to stay with other people whilst in Madrid, a shared apartment is a good and popular option. In this option you can decide between sharing the apartment with other students (Shared Student Apartment) and sharing the apartment with people that live permanently in Madrid (Shared Apartment).

Shared Student Apartment

• located in the city center (average 10 min. walking distance to the school).
• You share the apartment with other international students
• 5-9 rooms per apartment
• You can choose between a single or a shared room
• Students ages: 19-30.
• All rooms are furnished with a bed and a wardrobe
• Right to receive phone calls
• Visitors are welcome during daytime
• Shared bathrooms and washing machine
• Communal kitchen
• Your own key
• No curfew
• Smoking allowed
• No breakfast service
• All bills (apart from telephone) are included in the prices
• Bed linen and blankets are provided (not towels)

Shared Apartment

• located in the city center (average 10 min. walking distance to the school).
• You share the apartment with a max. of three people.
• Double rooms are rarely available
• Usually between 21-35 years old
• You have to abide by the rules of your housemaster concerning smoking, visitors and use of the phone.
• Shared kitchen and washing machine
• You usually have to share the bathroom
• Your own key
• Breakfast service on request in some apartments
• All bills (apart from telephone) are included in the price
• Bed linen and blankets are provided (no towels)

Hotels & Hostels

Madrid offers a huge range of hotels and hostels for every taste and pocket. Popular "pensiones" (small hotels run by families) offer a good service for a reasonable price. If you are under 26, a good option is a youth hostel, where you can even use a kitchen to prepare your food.

This option is highly recommend for stays under 2 weeks. We will help you to find the hotel or hostel that adapts better to your personal needs and quotation.

If you plan to come during the summer months, please tell us with enough time, because it could get difficult to find a free room.
