The capital city of Quito is situated 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) above sea level, in a picturesque valley surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Andes. On clear days, this extraordinary geographic location provides a spectacular view of the Andes, complete with the ancient and more recent scars of ferocious volcanic activity that is common throughout the region. Due to its pleasant climate, Quito is often described as "The City of Eternal Spring."

Quito is one of the most beautiful, richest, and oldest cities in South America. Fought over by the Incas and conquered by the Spanish in 1534, the city has an eventful history. With its stately colonial palaces, the downtown historical district has been declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

Our Spanish language school in Quito, Ecuador is situated in the modern part of the city and offers excellent learning conditions in a large, bright schoolhouse situated on over 300 square meters of land. Upon request, you can also learn Spanish in the open air environment of our garden or on one of our shady terraces.

Our Spanish school in Quito, Ecuador uses educational materials which are up to date and mostly come from Spanish universities or the Instituto Cervantes. They are specially developed to enable fast and effective learning of Spanish as a foreign language. In order to guarantee you top quality, we use a wide variety of interesting and diverse materials. The Spanish course materials are made available to you free of charge for the duration of your stay with us. All of our students also receive a certificate of successful completion at the end of their Spanish course.

All of our instructors are native speakers who have a university degree as well as extensive experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Continual training ensures a teaching staff whose lessons satisfy the highest criteria.

Spanish language courses at our school begin every Monday of the year for all language levels, with all lessons lasting 60 minutes in length. In addition to small group and private instruction, we also offer combination courses. Students are free to choose from the following language course options:

Standard Group Spanish Course

Our standard group Spanish course consists of 20 lessons per week, each lasting for 60 minutes. This course has an average of 3 students per class, with a maximum number of 5 students on any one course. Tuition times for the mini group course are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Intensive Group Spanish Course

Our intensive group Spanish course consists of 30 lessons per week, each lasting 60 minutes. This course has an average of 3 students per class with no more than 5 students permitted on any one course. Tuition times for the mini group intensive course are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Combined Spanish Course

Our combined Spanish course consists of 20 lessons of mini group classes per week, plus 10 lessons of individual classes of 60 minutes duration per week. This course has an average of 3 students per class, with no more than 5 students permitted on any one course. Tuition times for the combined course are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Individual Spanish Course (20hrs)

Our individual regular course consists of 20 lessons of one to one tuition per week, each lasting 60 minutes. Tuition times for the course are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Individual Spanish Course (30hrs)

Our individual intensive course consists of 30 lessons of one to one tuition per week, each lasting 60 minutes. Tuition times for the course are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Spanish Courses in Quito, Ecuador - Accommodation

Our Quito Spanish school offers a wide choice of accommodation to suit all preferences, students can choose from the following options:

Host family

Our students can choose to reside with selected host families who live at most a 10 minute walk from the school. The families provide furnished single rooms with 2 or 3 meals per day as well as a laundry service. Moreover, living with a host family accords you an excellent opportunity to utilize and improve your acquired Spanish skills and learn more about the local culture. At our school we find that students often form close friendships with their host families that endure long after the student's stay has come to an end.

Students who choose to book their accommodation through us will be picked up from the airport in Quito and brought to their selected accommodation free of charge. Students are also free to bring along their boyfriend or girlfriend to live with the host family even if they are not participating in a language course. Please note any special dietary needs (if you are a vegetarian, for example) and allergies when you register, so that your host family can accommodate these.

Hostel

We cooperate with a hostel in the center of Quito which offers simple but clean rooms. There are numerous stores, bars, restaurants, and other services in the vicinity. You will find the hostel located about a 20 minute bus ride from our language school.

Hotel

If you prefer, we can also accommodate you in a contemporary, clean hotel in the modern quarter of Quito. All rooms have a bathroom, cable TV and telephone. It is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the school.
