The Argentine city of Bariloche is well known as the main gateway to the stunning natural environment of the Patagonia region. Although Bariloche is a popular destination year round, during the South American winter, from the end of June until the end of September, the majority of our students come to Bariloche to combine Spanish courses with skiing in the local area. Located very close to Bariloche you will find the famous Cathedral Mountain, which is the most popular ski resort in Argentina and also the biggest in South America. The Cathedral Mountain ski resort covers a huge area of 600 hectares, with 53 pistes totaling 105 Kilometers in length. The resort area is modern and well equipped with 28 ski lifts, 14 restaurants and countless other facilities.

Our Spanish school offers a variety of Spanish courses that can be tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, with several options to choose from we are confident we offer a course to suit everyone. At our school we do not charge a joining fee and the course notes you receive are included in the price of the Spanish course, also included in the price are refreshments between classes and our after school activities. All our group classes have a maximum of 4 students per class.

Course Options

Standard Group Spanish Course consisting of twenty hours of lessons per week

Our standard group Spanish course aims to provide a good general knowledge of the Spanish language in a course lasting from one to eight weeks. By the end of this course students should feel confident conversing in Spanish for everyday tasks and in social situations. The course consists of four hours of lessons daily in small groups, with a maximum of four students per class. Our small class size ensures you a maximum interaction with our skilled professors.

Students can choose to attend this class anywhere from one to eight weeks depending on the amount of time you have available and the level of skill you wish to achieve. Within three weeks, student should be able to converse confidently with Spanish speaking people in everyday situations. Completing the entire eight week Spanish course will provide you with all the additional Spanish vocabulary, grammar and practice needed for more fluent, deeper conversations.

Combined Group Spanish Course consisting of thirty hours of lessons per week

Our combined group Spanish course gives students the opportunity to not only benefit from the advantages of learning in a group environment, but also the chance to reinforce their skills and address specific problems in private tutoring sessions. The course consists of six hours of lessons daily, with four hours in small groups in the morning and two hours of private Spanish classes in the afternoons.

Students can choose to attend this course anywhere from one to eight weeks depending on the amount of time you will have available and the level of skill you wish to achieve.

Private Group (2 person) consisting of a minimum of ten hours of lessons per week.

Our Private Group Course is customized to meet the specialized needs of each student, whether they are already at an advanced level, prefer private lessons or require a special vocabulary for their work.

The duration of the course depends entirely upon the students goals, with each student receiving a special program that will meet their individual requirements. The course is subject to a minimum of ten hours of total instruction.

Home stay

Our home stay option is very popular with our students. It offers you the opportunity of staying with a local Argentine family in Bariloche where you can practice your Spanish skills while learning more about the culture and traditions of the Argentine people. All our host families are screened very carefully to ensure your stay will be enjoyable and productive.

Hostel Accommodation

Our hostel accommodation is another popular choice with our students as it offers the opportunity to mix with other students from all over the world. The hostels we use are carefully selected to ensure you live in a pleasant atmosphere, with nice clean rooms, access to common areas and a friendly multilingual staff. While the staff of the hostel may speak some English, the aim of your Spanish course is for you to practice your Spanish as much as possible. The hostel accommodation option is useful in this by offering the chance to mix and practice with fellow students.

Included in the hostel accommodation package:

• Dorm style bed in a four person room

• Use of the common area, including the kitchen

Hotel Accommodation

Bariloche has a wide ranging choice of hotel accommodation to suit all budgets. Students interested in this option should contact us to arrange the right choice for your personal needs.

In addition to our accommodation options we also offer an airport pick up service from the international airport of Bariloche. The airport has daily flights from many South American cities, including Buenos Aires, as well as weekly flights from cities such as Cordoba, El Calafate, Puerto Madryn and Santiago de Chile. The airport pick up is included in the program price, so if you provide us with your flight details in advance we will be waiting for you at the gate when your flight arrives.

Unfortunately we no longer offer a pick up service from the bus terminal as the bus companies fail to inform us about the exact arrival times of their services. It now works out to be more convenient for the student to catch a taxi or bus to the school or accommodation. The bus terminal is located just out of town, only a 5 minute drive away from the school.

Student House La Montaña

At the beginning of 2007 our Spanish School opened their own student house. It is a big house, has a nice garden and a great view over the lake. You can opt for a single room or double room. The student house is run by 2 argentine guys, who offer you breakfast and also prepare dinner for you. To keep it personal, there will only stay a maximum of 6 students in our student house.
