In an effort to acquaint our students with this magnificent city, our school offers a rich cultural program. At present our school is one of the leading institutions offering academic courses of the Russian Language for Foreigners and intensive language practice. Using the direct teaching method as the basis for classical academic education, we also offer our own exclusive, Russian Language courses and computer programs, which assist students in gaining fast and maximum progress as well as excellent results even during short-term courses. Our Russian courses are open all year and offer a combination of pronunciation work, grammar and vocabulary input and

speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.

The school is open throughout the year with classes at all levels from beginner to advanced. All our teachers are certified as the teachers of Russian for Foreigners, know at least two foreign languages and many of them have some scientific works and publications in the sphere of Philology. Our Russian Language Courses in St. Petersburg

Standard Group Course (20 hrs)

Orientated primarily for participants with medium, little or no knowledge of Russian.

“Direct Communication” methodics and interactive studying principals ensure rapid and excellent results in the process of education. To check the level of the Russian Language knowledge each student passes the entry test on the first day of studies. The test results are the basis for groups' formation. This course includes 20 lessons per week. Besides that, each student has the possibility of having additional individual lessons which are not included in the course fee and should be booked on the spot. The maximum group size is 4 people.

Following services are included in the course fee for mini-group courses: transfer from the airport, entry test, teaching material, course certificate, information material, cultural program (one excursion per week).

Starting dates and length of mini-group courses: each course starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday. The minimum course length is two weeks.

Individual Russian Courses (20, 30 hrs)

For advanced students, Russian language teachers, and interpreters, we offer a custom-designed course. These courses contain 20 and 30 lessons per week. The choice of the starting dates and the course length depends on the participant's personal desire.

The teacher jointly designs the programme of the course and the student based on the special interests of study specified by the student in his/her enrollment form. Individual courses are the most suitable variant for people who are eager to spend a lot of time studying the language and to have a good command of Russian. Excellent opportunity to understand and to feel the language.

Following services are included in the course fee for individual courses: transfers from and to the airport, guide-book and map of St. Petersburg, assessment test, teaching material, course certificate, pass for public transport, information material, cultural program (standard).

Individual courses may start any Monday throughout the year. Course length is flexible.

Learn Russian in St. Petersburg - Accommodation

Home stay

We have a list of carefully chosen Russian host families working for our school. All rooms are personally checked by staff and must meet strict criteria before being included in our database. Each participant is accommodated in a single room having all the necessary conditions for rest and study. Twin and Double Rooms are available on request. There are telephones with

international access in all the apartments. The price for accommodation includes two meals - breakfast and dinner. All our host families have apartments in the center or in the neighborhood to a metro (underground) station. Living with a Russian family is integral part of the language learning experience. This is the most suitable variant for those who are willing to understand spoken Russian perfectly as members of the families know usually a little of a foreign language.

Hostel

The participants also have the possibility of living in a Students' Hostel, which is located in the centre of the city, 1-minute walk to Nevski Prospect, opposite the famous Kazan

Cathedral. We can accommodate our students in double and single rooms. During the low season is possible to be accommodated in double room for single use without any extra fee. Meals are not provided by the Hostel, but there are many cafes on the Nevski Prospect. We

recommend our Youth-hostel because of centrally location. Living in the heart of the

city you'll have more possibilities for rest and sightseeing tours. All the rooms are clean and have necessary conditions for rest and study. 5 rooms are in the block (1/2 etage). The big kitchen, TV - room, duche and WC are common in the block.

Hotel Accommodation

We can offer the participants of our courses the chance to be accommodated at one of the hotels of the St.Petersburg. There is a great variety of hotels of different categories in St.Petersburg but you have to bare in mind that the price for accommodation at a hotel in our city is sometimes even higher than in Western countries. Prices for hotel accommodation on request.

Participants should specify the preferred variant of accommodation in the enrollment form. We cannot always accommodate a student according to his/her desire as in summer, for example, hotels and hostels sometimes have no vacant rooms. Please, inform us of your desire to live in a hotel or hostel as earlier as possible. It is possible to prolong your accommodation after Language Course for the desired period of time. You need to specify in your Enrollment the dates of stay in St.Petersburg in order to reserve the accommodation in advance.
