Standard Group Courses (20, 30 hrs)

Our Portuguese Courses in Salvador, Brazil operate all year and courses start every Monday at any level, from duration of one week up to a month.

With a maximum of six students in a group, you can enjoy four classes or six classes each day, from Monday to Friday.
The courses contain grammar, reading, and writing lessons as well as interactive roll-playing activities for all group members. Listening and comprehension practice and listening to Brazilian music complement the lessons.

The course aims, corresponding to the level, to prepare you to deal with everyday situations, to satisfy basic needs, to understand information and discuss even difficult subjects articulately.

Individual Course (20 hrs)

This program offers all the advantages of private lessons as they are tailored to meet your special needs. You can even request to develop and to practice specific individual language skills.
The courses are made for those who wish to learn Portuguese quickly and with excellent results.

Celpe-Bras Examination Preparation (20 hrs)

The CELPE-Bras (Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros) is the only official and recognized diploma of Portuguese language studies for foreigners. The exam was established by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in cooperation with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). It is internationally recognized as proof of competence in the Portuguese language. The test examines written and spoken communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese in different every day situations. Once having taken the exam you will be placed in one of the following levels:

• Intermediário
• Intermediário Superior
• Avançado
• Avançado Superior

A Qualified native teachers will prepare you for the examination, using all types of texts, radio and TV reports, interviews, and picture material to develop your listening, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing ability. This course focuses on both the written and spoken aspects of the Portuguese language and gives you the means to deal with any situation you might encounter in the CELPE examination.

The exam is given twice a year in April and October at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Next examination dates are still to be determined by the Ministério de Educação (MEC).

Additional Courses and Activities

Enhance your Portuguese with an extra curricular activity that promises to expand your learning experience and provide a fun challenge as well. In order to make our students´ stay in Salvador as comfortable as possible, our school dedicates a great deal of attention to accommodation assignments.
All housings are checked periodically to make sure that everything is in order.
Most of our housing facilities, especially in the family stays, are located within easy reach of the school, and generally within walking distance.

Home stay

A host family provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about our lifestyle and culture. It builds the best way to learn the Portuguese language and be deeply immersed in it.
We have selected a wide range of middle-class host families where you will be made to feel at home and perhaps make lifelong family connections.
Our home stays provide single or double rooms with breakfast included. Prices per week refer to a seven night's stay, which can be started at any weekday.

Pousada

Cheaper than a hotel with a bit less comfort but as well with a more typical style, clean and generally with 24hour service, a posada is a way to stay for those who like to be more independent. There are options with or without breakfast included.

We will be very pleased to provide you with the information and photos about different posadas nearby the school and the beach and make the booking when you enroll.

Hotel

You have a choice of various locations and categories. Please inform us about your needs and we will indicate you some hotels and book your stay.

Apartments

A limited number of apartments are available throughout Salvador. Location, quality and prices vary. We encourage booking apartments after enrolment at least 30 days in advance. Please contact us for details.

Friends or family of our students who are not participating in our courses are also welcome to reserve a room or a flat with our services.
