Spanish Language School in Bogota, Columbia

Location: The language school in Bogota is only 25 minutes from "Los Heroes” on the campus of La Sabana University.

Facilities: The Campus has a library, sports and computer facilities, a beautiful lake and state of the art classrooms. The facilities are handicap accessible.

Teachers: All our language teachers are university professors, have many years experience teaching Spanish as a second language, and have an excellent reputation. Our teachers also have a genuine love for teaching.

Materials: All materials for class are included. One paper guide for every hour of class is provided to each of our students.

Spanish Courses in Bogota, Columbia

Type: Individual plus activities, Group plus activities.

Classes per week: Individual plus activities – 15+10, 20+10, 25+10; Group plus activities - 15+5, 20+5.

Course Duration: 1 week minimum.

Lessons: 60 minutes.

Class size: Maximum of 8.

Start Dates: Every Monday.

Includes: Twice a week we offer a program of activities and trips to places such as museums, parks, beaches, restaurants, etc. We also evaluate your progress in the course every two weeks.

Spanish Learning + Cultural Activities

Our location on a university campus provides you with many different cultural and intellectual activities to choose from. Twice a week we offer a program of activities and trips to places such as museums, parks, restaurants, dances, games, karaoke, etc. Bogota has an interesting architectural mix of colonial and republican houses and modern buildings. There are over 50 museums, theatre, natural parks, beaches, concerts, sightseeing tours, walks through nature, restaurants, and many opportunities for participating in various sports. We also offer volunteer opportunities through La Granga, an organization that provides services for low-income children, orphans, and the mentally ill. Living with a Columbian family provides many opportunities to experience the local culture and is an important part of your experience at the school, should you choose this option.

Bogota Accommodation

Options: Homestay, Apartment.

Type: Single, Double.

Description: You will live and share your daily life with a Spanish speaking family. Breakfast and dinner are included and there is a washing machine available or your clothes will be washed once a week. Families are chosen carefully, and during your stay you will be another member of the family. We visit the families regularly and we permanently assess their human qualities and the location of their house.

Meals: Half board, No meals.

Travel time to school: From home stays: between 20 and 40 minutes by bus. From apartment/hotel: between 20 - 40 minutes by bus.

Airport pickup: $20 US.

We adhere to the guidelines of both the Common European Framework of references for languages (CEF) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
