Our Spanish School in Cochabamba, Bolivia

Location: The language school in Cochabamba is located in the Juan XXIII neighborhood, ten to fifteen minutes by bus from the city center.

Facilities: Our Spanish school is a one story building built around an inner patio, with nine classrooms. Another small patio is in front of the building, where students gather during breaks to chat, plan after class activities and excursions. We also serve snacks and drinks there. Students can choose to take their lessons outdoors on the grounds under a parasol or on one of the patios. Two of the classrooms can be transformed into a large space for parties, group discussions and video projections.

Teachers: All have university degrees in different fields, such as languages, law, pedagogy, agricultural engineering. This allows for the integration of their specific knowledge into the classroom for special themes and coursework

Materials: Included in course tuition.

Our Spanish Courses in Cochabamba, Bolivia

Type: Usually individual but sometime small groups.

Classes per week: 20 & 25

Course Duration: one-week minimum.

The directors are willing to organize different activities as students show interest.

There are visits to museums, to colonial villages, and cultural events as they occur. Costs for buses and entries are nominal, and students pay for the teacher who goes along. There are also many Christian/pagan celebrations in different nearby towns, villages or communities throughout the year. The school organizes trips and lodging for festivals outside of Cochabamba.

Spanish School Cochabamba Accommodation

Options: Home stay.

Type: Single, Double.

Description: All host families are in the neighborhood of the school. Students can choose among families of various generations, with many children, or with only one or two members; with single or double rooms, private or shared bathroom. In case a student travels with a companion who does not visit the school, both can stay with the same family. Home stay accomodations can be provided for whole families. Special diets are offered. By living with a native Spanish and/or Quechua speaking family, the students will become better acquainted with our culture and languages.

Meals: Full board.

Travel time to school: No more than 5 minutes walk.

Airport pickup: Included in course tuition.
