Learn Spanish in the small Argentine town of Esquina. Esquina has a different environment to many other areas in Argentina, and is a truly natural and typical Argentine town. It is located in the Province of Corrientes, only 600 kilometers north of Buenos Aires, on the way to the Iguazú Water Falls.

Esquina Spanish School

Location: Esquina is a several hundred-year-old village of 26, 000 inhabitants that has retained its sleepy, lost-in-time, genuine Argentine atmosphere. The Spanish school in Esquina is located in the center of this settlement.

Facilities: Six classrooms, terrace and a small kitchen.

Teachers: Our teachers are native Argentines and are highly qualified specialists in language instruction, each one having a great deal of theoretical and practical experience.

Esquina Spanish Courses

Type: Group, Combined group/individual, private group (2 people)

Classes per week: Group – 20, Combined – 20 + 10, Private group - 10.

Course Duration: One week minimum.

Lessons: 110 minutes.

Class size:  Maximum of 4.

Start Dates: Spanish courses in Esquina begin every Monday.

Includes: We offer many afternoon activities such as salsa and tango dance lessons and performances, trips to the museum, local schools and an orphanage, trekking in the local mountains, photo tours, various games and sports, and cooking classes. Some of these activities may have additional transportation, meal or entrance fees. You will also receive a completion certificate and have free access to the internet and cafeteria.

Spanish Learning + Cultural Activities

Our school is networked with several local community help centers that service children in the area. You will have the opportunity to combine your studies, if you so desire, with volunteering for these much deserving kids. You can choose to do this one afternoon a week or every day. Some of the activities and attractions available in the region are polo classes, horse riding, bird watching, fishing in the Corriente river and its delta, launch rides, small and large game hunting, leather work and traditional dances.

( Bariloche - Every week we provide three to five afternoon activities such as salsa and tango dance lessons and performances, trips to the museum, local schools and an orphanage, trekking in the local mountains, photo tours, various games and sports, and cooking classes. Many sports are available in the area, including skiing in the winter at Cathedral Mountain, the most popular resort in Argentina and the biggest in South America. Rafting, kayaking, paragliding and horseback riding are also available. Living with an Argentine family provides many opportunities to experience the local culture and is an important part of your experience at the school, should you choose this option. There is also ample nightlife to sample in Bariloche.)

Esquina Accommodation

Options: Homestay, hostel.

Type: Single, double, dorm.

Description:   Homestay – private room, bed linens, half board, access to phone. Hostel – dorm sleeping arrangement, bed linens, shared living area and kitchen. Student house – single or double rooms, half board, maximum of six students.

Meals:   Half board.

Travel time to school:   Within 15 minutes of the school.

Airport pickup:   Provided free of charge.
