Learn Japanese in Okazaki, Japan
Our students enjoy living in the historic castle town of Okazaki, in central Japan. Part of an extensive metropolitan area comprising more than 7 million people, Okazaki City is now a satellite city of Nagoya and forms parts of Japan's affluent manufacturing belt comprising Toyota, Okazaki, Gamagori and Toyohashi cities. Okazaki is a boom-town, one of the fastest growing cities in Japan.

Location: The Japanese language school in Okazaki is located in a neighborhood that has a small town feel. It has a low population density, many parks and trees and shopping facilities. Public transport is very accessible.
Facilities: The school in Okazaki has a very large campus with several buildings, many classrooms, a large library, infirmary, student lounge with TV and ping pong table, a computer lab, free internet access, a campus bar and cafe, all the modern audio/visual teaching aids one could want and a main hall for parties and ceremonies.

Japanese Learning + Cultural Activities
Okazaki is a modern city, hosting large corporations such as Toyota, Sony and Mitsubishi. Still, there is an ancient culture and history here, and there are dozens of shrines, temples and a castle to explore. In contrast to cities like Tokyo and Osaka, Okazaki was spared a good deal of the destruction in WWII. Our city is conveniently situated to visit Kyoto, Tokyo, Nara, Osaka, nearby mountains, etc. Unemployment is very low here, making it easier for you to find a part time job, and expenses are drastically lower than Tokyo, for instance. Living with Japanese people provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available, should you choose this option.
Okazaki Accommodation
Options: Home stay, Shared apartments, Studio apartments.
Type: Single, Double, Shared.
Description: We own most of our own accomodations and have many options. Following are a few representative options. Home stay - Japanese style sleeping arrangement, half board (no meals on weekends), within short commute of school (often within walking distance); Shared apartments - private bedroom with tatami floor and futon (provide your own), shared kitchen and bathroom, TV, air conditioning, no meals; Studio apartments - bed, kitchenette, bathroom, TV, air conditioning, no meals.
Meals: No meals or half board.
Travel time to school: Short walk to a short commute via public transportation.
Airport pickup: Taxi.
