Languages in Action provides opportunities to learn Japanese in five diverse locations throughout Japan. With accredited language schools offering lively and communicative Japanese courses, you can are assured of improving your language skills effectively and enjoyably.
Our Language schools in Japan offer many various courses. All general Japanese programs help prepare language learners for various JLPT levels.
Courses are available from two weeks up to two years. Those wishing to learn Japanese in Japan for one year or more can enroll on classes beginning in October and April. Those wishing the learn Japanese from a beginner level can start classes in January, April, July, or October.
If you already know some Japanese (minimum JLPT 4), you can begin classes any Monday throughout the year.
Most language learners do not require a visa for studies of up to three months while some nationals can study in Japan for six months without a visa.

Japanese Course Options
Learn Japanese in Groups
We offer group Japanese courses at every location. These courses are between 6 and 20 hours per week. You will learn Japanese in a fun and energetic group environment, which will greatly enhance your language learning. These courses offer engaging lessons and are a popular way to learn Japanese and the culture of Japan.
Learn Japanese One-to-One
You can learn Japanese on individual courses at all our Japanese schools. These courses vary from a per hour basis to 20 hours per week. Individual Japanese courses are particularly effective for those who wish to study more intensely or concentrate on particular language areas.
Learn Japanese in Combined Group and Individual Courses
Merging the focus of individual study with the dynamic energy of group lessons, these courses offer the best of both worlds. Our schools provide courses of 20 group hours + 4 individual lessons and 23 + 5 per week.
Focused Japanese Courses
If you need to learn Japanese for particular areas of study or commerce, we have the course to meet your needs – conversational Japanese, business Japanese, Japanese business etiquette, traditional and popular culture, Japanese movies and animation, Japanese news and academic Japanese.

JapaneseLanguage SchoolAccreditations and Memberships
All of our Japanese Language schools are members of overseeing organizations or externally accredited. The credentials include the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education (Nihongo Kyoiku Shinko Kyokai) and the Japanese Min Ed.
Japanese Language Course Accommodation Options
Each Japanese school has several accomodation options for you to choose. The options include home stay, shared or private apartments, studio apartments, dorms, students’ villas, student residents or student villages. The accomodations range in price from school to school. Full board, half-board, or no meals options are available along with single, double or shared rooms for those enrolling together. If you plan to study in Japan long term, you may benefit from taking school accomodation for a month or so until, giving you time to find more long-term accomodation.
Home/family stay
This option offers full language and cultural immersion while being economical. All hosts are carefully selected and often provide at least one meal per day.
Shared Student Apartments
More independent accomodation than the home stay option. You will be living with fellow language learners in two, three or four bedroom apartments.
Private Apartment
More independent than shared accomodation, fully furnished apartments are located close to schools, usually walking distance or a short bus ride. Usually more expensive than shared accomodation and home stay. Most of our Japanese schools offer private apartments at good rates.
Hotels
Japanese hotel accomodation can be charming and comfortable. Facilities and costs depend on the hotel grade. Schools can arrange all types of hotel accomodation.
Bed and Breakfast/Pension
Usually family run and therefore more informal than hotels Popular with couples or mature students.
