Location: The Italian school in Tuscany is located in a small street in the historic center of Cortona near to the town hall surrounded by bars, restaurants and small shops.

Facilities: Several internet points are close to the school, DVD and television at school.

Teachers: Our language teachers have many years of experience teaching Italian as a second language.

Materials: Included with tuition.

Italian Courses in Tuscany - Cortona

Type: Individual, Group, Combined (group/individual).

Classes per week: Individual – 10, 15, 20; Group – 20; Combined – 20 + 10.

Course Duration: One week minimum.

Lessons: 55 minutes.

Class size: Maximum of eight.

Levels: All.

Start Dates: Individual - up to you; Group and Combined - All absolute beginners and all levels starting November through May must start on the following dates: Apr 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, Jun 8 & 22, Jul 6 & 20, Aug 3, 17 & 31, Sep 14 & 28, Oct 12. Non-beginners April through October can start any Monday.

Includes: Certificate of attendance and ability; afternoon art, cultural, and wine and food activities 2-3 times each week; assistance with applying for temporary residence permits.

Specialized: Cooking and wine tasting courses, courses for teachers of Italian.

Italian Learning + Cultural Activities

Rich in archaeological marvels from the Etruscan, medieval and Renaissance periods, our city also has gorgeous views, hiking and swimming. There are several nearby historic towns to visit. In the summer, the city hosts several activities such as film festivals, art and antique exhibits, and culinary fairs. Our school organizes guided tours and trips not available to the general public 2-3 times each week.

Cortona Accommodation

Options: Room in a convent, Hotel, Youth hostel.

Type: Single, Double.

Description: Convent - private room and bathroom with breakfast; Hotel - room with bathroom and breakfast (air conditioning available in some); Youth hostel - dorm sleeping with shared bathroom and breakfast.

Meals: Breakfast only.

Travel time to school: No more than 10 minutes walk.

Airport pickup: Can be arranged.
