Montreux, the pearl of the Swiss Riviera, is a small town situated on Lake Geneva. Blessed with an Alpine backdrop, Montreux is glorious twelve months a year. With a 13th century castle, tree lined boulevards, warm summers and magical winters; Montreux is a wonderland waiting to be experienced and one of our most picturesque locations to learn French.

French Language School Montreux

Location: The French language school in Montreux is ideally located in the heart of town on the city’s main street, just a few steps from the lake, and a five minute walk from bus and train stations and shopping areas.

Facilities: The school in Montreux has eight well-lit and comfortable classrooms, some having spectacular views of the lake and Alps. We also have numerous computer stations and wi-fi.

Teachers: All French language teachers are qualified and experienced in the teaching of French as a second language.

Materials: Included with tuition.

French Courses Montreux

Type: Individual, Group.

Classes per week: Individual-up to you; Group - 20 (only group choice available for absolute beginners), 25, 30.

Course Duration: One week minimum.

Lessons: Individual - 60 minutes; Group - 45 minutes.

Class size: Maximum of 12.

Levels: All.

Start Dates: French courses in Montreux start every Monday if you already know some basic French up to elementary level. Absolute beginners must start on the following dates: Jan 11, Mar 1, May 3, June 7, Aug 2, Sept 6, Oct 4, Nov 1.  There will be no lessons on the following holidays April 2 & 5, May 13 & 24, Sept 20.

Includes: Tuition, learning material, assessment test, certificate, social program, student card and taxes, enrolment fee, taxes, opportunity to take TCF and TEF exams, which are recognized by the French Ministry of Education as standards of fluency; each week we organize several cultural and social activities to enhance your learning experience.

Specialized: DELF, TCF, and TEF exam prep, and French for 50+, French and cooking, French and wine tasting.

French Learning + Cultural Activities

Lake Geneva offers beautiful scenery, lots of water sports, and beautiful coves and beaches. In town there are palm-lined lakeside promenades with beautiful terraces from which to enjoy the view, many restaurants with international cuisine, and a 13th-century castle within walking distance. We are within two hours of Paris, Milan, London, Barcelona and Munich, and Lausanne and Geneva are within an hour of us. Living with a Swiss family provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available, should you choose this option.

Options: Home stay, Shared apartment.

Type: Single, Double.

Description: Home stay-private room, full facilities; Shared apartment - single and double rooms, fully equipped kitchen, TV, washing machine, free internet and wi-fi, close to shops, restaurants, cinemas, bars, the lake, railway station and school

Meals: No meals, breakfast only, half board.

Travel time to school: Home stay - 10minutes; Shared apartment - within walking distance.

Airport pickup: From Geneva airport - 170 CHF.
