Location: The English language school in Los Angeles is located in the fashionable Westside area, close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills and only a few miles from the beaches of Venice and Santa Monica.

Facilities: The school has a computer and self-study lab, internet access and wi-fi.

Teachers: All language teachers are native speakers of American English and hold university degrees, and most have advanced degrees in teaching English as a second language.

Type: Individual, Group, Combined (group/individual).

Los Angeles, originally founded in 1781 by Mexican settlers, has gone through its phases as a simple cow town, a gold rush and then oil boomtown. Now, with it being home to all the major film studios, it’s no wonder it’s called “the entertainment capital of the world”. The city is home to numerous famous cultural establishments, such as the LA Philharmonic, the Getty Museum and the Getty Villa and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Other sights and attractions that bring tourists to the city are the celebrity mansions in Beverly Hills, the Hollywood sign, the nightlife of Sunset Strip, shopping on Rodeo Drive and the stars on Hollywood Boulevard, and of course the beaches and Disneyland. Our Student Services Coordinator arranges after school excursions and activities for you, such as museum tours, rollerblading, movies, student sports games, sporting events, and Los Angeles sightseeing. On weekends, we organize excursions to attractions in the region, like Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Yosemite National Park. Living with an American family provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available, should you choose this option.

Los Angeles Accommodation

Options: Home stay, Student residence, Studio apartments, University dormitory (all options require a minimum enrollment of 20 hours per week tuition).

Type: Single, Double.

Description: Home stay - private room, half board or breakfast only; The Claremont Hotel - single or double room, private bathroom, satellite TV in common room, telephone, free coffee and tea, daily maid service, air conditioning.

Meals: No meals, half board.

Travel time to school: Between walking distance and within 60 minutes of school by public transport (average 30 - 45 minutes).

Airport pickup: 125 USD one way; 210 USD round trip (if booked in advance).
