Brisbane offers beautiful scenery, a friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere as well as plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining, clubbing and, of course, learning English.

English Language School Brisbane

Location: The English school in Brisbane islocated very near to the main train station in the center of the city, and only a few minutes walk from Queen Street shopping mall and several of the city’s major theatre’s, cinema’s, bars and restaurant’s.

Facilities: The language school is housed in a newer, roomy and naturally lit three level building, with up to date classrooms, free internet access, a fully equipped student kitchen and leisure areas complete with ping-pong table and other games. We are proud of our three modern computer labs, with multi media computers and online learning facilities. We also have an outdoor BBQ balcony, a rooftop garden, widescreen TV and music centre and free use of an indoor gymnasium and swimming pool. And we have a restaurant, newsagent and café on the ground floor.

Teachers: All have university degrees and are qualified and experienced in teaching English as a second language. They also attend regular continuing education classes.

Materials: $10 per week.

English Courses Brisbane

Type: Individual, Group.

Classes per week: Individual – up to you; Group - 20, 30.

Course Duration: One week minimum.

Lessons: 50 minutes.

Class size: Maximum of 15.
 
Levels: All.

Start Dates: English courses in Brisbane start every Monday for non beginners. It is recommended that beginners start a course on one of the following dates: Jan 4, Mar 15, May 24, Aug 2, Oct 11, Jan 4 (2011).

Includes: Free internet and wi-fi, certificate of achievement.

Specialized: Cambridge exam preparation courses.

English Learning + Cultural Activities

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and Australia’s third biggest city. It is a lively and sophisticated city with parkland, skyscrapers, a river and a very comfortable climate. Our English language school has a full time Activities Officer to arrange a wide variety of after school and weekend cultural and entertainment activities, such as football, basketball, ten pin bowling, ice skating, tennis, BBQ’s, museum and gallery tours, trips to the city’s artificial beach, boomerang making classes. We also weekend excursions to places like The Great Barrier Reef and a two-day farm stay including sheep shearing, horse riding, and campfire sing-along. Living with an Australian family provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available, should you choose this option. 

Brisbane Accommodation

Options: Home stay (family, deluxe and self-catered), Student house.

Type: Single, Double.

Description: Family home stay – private room, shared bathroom, laundry service, half board (full board on weekends), maximum of two students of different nationalities per house; Deluxe home stay – private room and bathroom, swimming pool, laundry service, half board (full board on weekends), one student per house; Self-catered home stay – private room, share bath, no limit on numbers of students or nationalities per house, breakfast only; Student house – single or double rooms, shared bath, kitchen and TV room, no meals. 

Meals: No meals, Breakfast only, Half board (full board on weekends).

Travel time to school: Within 40 minutes by public transportation from school.

Airport pickup: $95.
