Chinese School in Shenzhen

Location: The Chinese language school in Shenzhen is located in an upper class neighborhood in the heart of an "artist" community. Restaurants, quiet bars and parks are all within walking distance. Close to many attractions such as Windows of the World, Happy Valley and the Cultural Folk Village.

Facilities: Classes take place in a traditional Tea House so food and drink are available. Wi-fi is free and we maintain four small classrooms along with a larger meeting room.

Teachers: All are native speakers, have university degrees and are qualified and experienced in teaching Chinese as a second language. They are also certified by the government to teach.

Materials: Included with tuition.

Chinese Courses in Shenzhen

Type: Group.

Classes per week: 25.

Course Duration: Winter – 4 weeks of classes plus a 1-week tour; Summer – 4 weeks of classes plus a 2-week tour.

Class Length: 50 minutes.

Class size: Maximum of 4.

Levels: All.

Start Dates: Chinese courses in Shenzhen begin on May 5, June 16, July 28.

Chinese Learning + Cultural Activities

There are distinctive features about Shenzhen that make it a great place to study Chinese. First, migrants come here from all parts of China, so you will experience different accents and dialects.  Second, there are many migrants from the North, so you will be exposed to lots of “correct” Mandarin. Aside from the formal classes, our courses include 10 hours a week of optional classes. Examples of these classes are Chinese chess, calligraphy, Chinese painting, cooking, kung fu and Chinese music. We also include two weekend trips to locations around Shenzhen to experience the history, culture and natural beauty of the country. And, of course, don’t forget the one week (winter) or two week (summer) tour included in the course to places like Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an. Living with a Chinese family in the included home stay accomodation provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available.
