Our Italian language school in Verona, Italy is equipped with modern and bright classrooms all provided with air conditioning. In addition a free-internet room, a video room and a music and piano room are available. There is also plus a reading room stocked with current books, magazines, newspapers and brochures on all manner of locations and activities in the vicinity of Verona and the surrounding Veneto Region. Our students have the use of a language laboratory (20 seats) with a CD room.

Also, within the premises, our students have access to the Institute bar during class breaks, and to a student cafeteria for very moderately priced lunchtime meals.

Our teachers are all Italian mother tongue, graduated and highly qualified to teach Italian as a foreign language. All our teachers have many years experience teaching at Italian language schools in Italy. We are open throughout the year, offering Italian language courses, but also courses in arts, culture, and a variety of artistic and regional subjects, as well as special courses.

Individual courses may begin any day of the year. The level and length of the course may be adjusted to suit the needs of the student. The majority of courses at our Italian language school are four-week long. We also offer shorter courses beginning on the same dates and courses which can be arranged to suit the schedule of special groups.

Our Italian language school in Verona, Italy adopts very dynamic methods of teaching, encouraging the active participation of students in every aspect of the Italian language course. Courses are held at different levels so that each student has a chance to develop his/her own linguistic and grammatical skills. Role-play is used in the classroom to simulate real situations, which encourages the development of a more natural and accurate linguistic expression. Our courses aim to help the students improve their levels of reading, writing, comprehension and dialogical skills in the Italian language.

Morning lessons are mainly centered on grammar, while the afternoon lessons focus on conversation and some aspects of the Italian culture. Grammatical issues are tackled with a flexible approach, mainly as a reference system to help understand those structures that are consequently used with a higher degree of consciousness for a correct communication.

Our Italian language courses in Verona, Italy are generally designed to last for four weeks, but we encourage the students to apply for more consecutive courses. Courses can be arranged for 1, 2, 3 weeks, starting on the same date of the 4-week course if a student is an absolute beginner. Students with previous knowledge of the language can also apply for different dates (generally starting on Mondays).

Combined Italian Courses (25+8)

This course provides a greater number of individual lessons so as to optimized the period of study and obtain the very best results.

15 h Italian lesson, 4 h conversation, 4 h cultural class, a 2h excursion per week, 8 h of individual lessons per week arranged with the teacher, student card, complimentary gifts from the school, access to services and extra-curricular activities.

Standard Group Italian Courses (15hrs)

This is addressed to all those who either aim to improve their knowledge of grammar or have available only a little time to dedicate to study Italian. The course takes place ordinarily in the morning, but for groups consisting of the minimum 3 students of the same level the Direction can decide to organize an afternoon course.

Intensive Group (21hrs)

This is addressed to all those who only have at their disposal a little time and want to dedicate only to the study of the Italian language.

Individual Courses (10, 20, 30 hrs)

Suitable for those who request personalized instruction and flexible schedule. It is possible also that two persons can attend the course if their level of linguistic competence is the same. For these courses no entrance fee is required. This type of course permits each student to learn the Italian language in a personalized fashion in accordance to his/her specific needs and requests.

Italian language school in Verona, Italy - Accommodation

Our Italian language school in Verona, Italy provides students with an accommodation search and booking service. The school itself has no accommodation facilities; therefore the assignment and the price are determined case by case according to the needs of the single student, to the period of stay and the availability in such period.

Costs can slightly vary according to length of stay, season of the year and various features of the accommodation (i.e. distance from the school, additional conveniences such as TV, air conditioning, parking facilities, etc). Accommodation is always located in the proximity of the school and the town centre, both easily reachable on foot (5 to 20 minutes walk) or by public transportation.

All hosting structures and families have been carefully selected by the school management, and personally met by the director, who has verified, throughout the years, their reliability and disposition to suitably host foreign students.

After receiving the application form and the receipt for the paid deposit, the school will send the details of some accommodation options. The address of the actual hosting structure will be sent before the starting date of the course. Accommodation is generally booked from the Sunday preceding the starting date of the course until the day following its end. We kindly ask those students who wish to modify or cancel their reservation to let the school know at least 20 days in advance, or else they will be charged for their accommodation. We have the following types of accommodation:

Furnished Flat

One- or two-room furnished flats, independent or shared with other students or owner.

Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom (bed sheets and towels are provided). All bills are included in the price, except telephone calls.

Home-stays

Students are given the opportunity to experience the daily life of an Italian family, generally accommodated in a single room. This is the best way to fully immerse in the Italian linguistic reality and to make new acquaintances. All expenses will be covered, with the exception of telephone calls, and it is possible to choose between bed and breakfast only or bed, breakfast and dinner.
