Our small Italian school here in Olbia is located near to the centre, as well as the apartments that house our students. We offer all the zeal, reliability and enthusiasm to guarantee a nice and friendly atmosphere, both in and out of class. During the low season, structures are reduced according to the diminution of the number of students, but our Italian courses and services are always available, independently of the number of students; teachers are mother tongue, graduates of the Italian University, experienced and fond of their job.

Classes are open to people of every age and nationality. Lessons in class last 50 minutes, individual ones 60. The number of students per class is 3 at most (the assistance is nearly personalized), to guarantee the best conditions for the learning. The didactic material (books, photocopies, dictionaries, DVDs, etc.) is carefully selected and put at free disposal of students in class, though it remains property of the school.

The vocabulary is selected, above all, according to the practical usefulness in the most common situations of every-day life. We encourage, when it's possible, the alternation of teachers in class, to increase the richness and the variety of the vocabulary. We try to give students a method that helps them to keep studying language on their own, after the course. The student receives a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

We offer information and assistance services, during the stay, about local events, activities, restaurants and amusement, transportation, car, scooter, bicycle, boat and sea-scooter rental, diving, sailing and riding activities.

Before all Italian language courses, students sit a test and are graded, then allocated a class to meet their most suitable level.

Standard Group (20 hrs)

The standard Italian course is for an optimal balance between the number of hours passed in language class and the time spent in other courses or activities. Lessons take place every day in class, normally from Monday to Friday and from 9a.m. to 1p.m., for a total of 20 hours per week. The daily lesson is divided in two hours of grammar and two of vocabulary. Every student can start attending the course at the beginning of every week

Standard Group (12 hrs)

This Italian course is for people busy with other didactic or recreational activities, interested in an extensive approach, with longer regeneration times between lessons. The course enables them to exploit the class times and to have more free time, also for visiting other places. Lessons take place three days per week in class, normally from 9a.m. to 1p.m., for a total of 12 hours per week. The daily lesson is divided in two hours of grammar and two of vocabulary. Every student can start attending the course at the beginning of every week

Combined (20+10)

For those students who want to maximize the learning of the language and exploit the time of their stay. Lessons take place every day, from Monday to Friday: normally, from 9a.m. to 1p.m., for a total of 20 hours per week, the student is busy in class (two hours of grammar and two of vocabulary) and from 2p.m. to 4p.m., for a total of 10 hours per week, the student has the possibility of resolving his/her doubts and to see again the most difficult parts of grammar, face to face with the teacher. Every student can start attending the course at the beginning of every week

Individual (10/20)

The content for individual Italian courses is agreed directly with the teacher, according to the specific needs of the student. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes and the assistance of the teacher is at exclusive disposal of the student. Lessons are normally available, upon reservation, at any time.

Host Family

It's possible to have host family accommodation in single or double rooms, with Italian breakfast or with Italian breakfast and dinner. The minimum duration of the stay is one week. Rooms are normally available on the Sunday before the starting day of the course, and it must be set free on the Sunday after the end of the course. The price, net of the deposit already sent when booking, must be paid to the school on the first day of the course. Sheets, blankets and towels are provided during the stay. The student should respect, within the limits of the common sense, the traditions of the family, and vice-versa. It's the ideal solution for students that want to live closely the atmosphere of the average Italian family. The other two solutions are more suitable for people interested in a wider independence.

Apartments

All the apartments are furnished and comfortable, provided with bathroom and kitchen and located near to the centre.

Shared apartments are normally occupied by other students of the school. Both single and double rooms are available.

Independent apartments are private, for one, two or three people.

The minimum duration of the stay is normally one week. Rooms are normally available at 7p.m. on the Sunday before the starting day of the course, and it must be set free at 11a.m. on the Sunday after the end of the course. Sheets, blankets and towels can be hired during the stay. Inspections on the apartments could be made by the school, even though in a total respect of the privacy of the students, to guarantee that everything is ok and that the right of all the lodgers to use the apartment is respected. Everybody can enjoy the place, but must take care of it with responsibility and leave it in the same conditions in which he/she found it

Hotel

There is wide availability of single and double rooms, in three and two stars hotels or in pensions. The price, net of the deposit already sent when booking, must be paid to the school on the first day of the course.
