Welcome to our Italian language school in Milazzo, Sicily, established in 1994 and recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. Our Italian Language and Culture courses are held all the year through in Milazzo, Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean. The City of Milazzo - with its breathtaking location in front of the Aeolian Islands - kept its genuine Italian nature intact not being affected by mass tourism flows.

Thanks to mild climate (the average temperature in winter is 13°, in spring 20°, in summer 27° and in autumn 21°) trips and tours can be organised during the whole year.

Fees:

Trips/tours fees, according to the means of transportation you choose, may vary from 25.00 to 30.00 Euro. Tours with public means of transportation are followed by a teacher from the school and students shall pay for their tickets.Due to the large distance, tours to Palermo, Cefalù, Syracuse, Vulcano and Lipari are organized at the weekends, generally on Saturday or during public holidays.

Our Italian Language Courses In Milazzo, Sicily

We have been working for more than 10 years in the field of languages; therefore, our experience in teaching Italian is available for those who wish to learn Italian. You shall learn Italian in the most professional and pleasant way, according to the latest teaching methods. Students can attend our courses in Milazzo all the year through. The first day of lesson, students will make an entry test and will later be sorted into the various classes at different levels. Lessons are held by teachers specialised in teaching Italian to foreigners. Thanks to their professional experience and human value students will surely be embedded in Italian culture. Courses are organised into 6 different levels; classes will be held by focusing on the communicative level, this means students learn Italian by using it and focusing on the different aspects of communication: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The experience gathered over time enables our teachers to teach Italian in a less academic, but in a joyful and very efficient way. At our Italian Language School, you will learn Italian having great fun. Moreover students can make the CILS (Certificazione di italiano come lingua straniera) - issued by the Università per stranieri di Siena, and CELI examination (Certificato di conoscenza della lingua italiana) - issued by the Università per stranieri di Perugia. Students can also attend courses of Italian literature, history of art as well as cooking courses.

Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. If there are fewer than 3 students in a class, the course will consist of 15 or 23 lessons a week rather than 20 or 30.

Italian language and Culture Courses on a Sailboat

The fee for this option is €690 per person. The price includes accommodation in a double cabin; 7 overnight stays; bed sheets; Italian language and culture course (15 lessons of 45 minutes); teaching material; certificate of attendance; assistance during the entire journey.

Additional costs will be approximately €150 for the food provisions, fuel and harbour fees.

We departure and arrive at the Marina of Portorosa, Falcone ( Messina ). Minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 8, depending on the size of the boat.

Available dates for this course are; 05/05/07 -12.05.2007, 08/09/07 - 15.09.2007, 22/09/07 - 29.09.2007.

Italian Language Courses in Milazzo, Sicily - Accommodation

We have set up a number of different accommodation types for the students attending our Italian courses. We are focused on our students' wellbeing and comfort and we pay attention to the faintest detail. Our school selects all the flats, apartments, houses and families with the utmost attention because we are convinced that comfortable accommodation contributes to the success of your study holiday. Flats and apartments are located near the city centre, 5 minutes walk far from the school and 10 minutes walk far from the beaches and from pubs/clubs scattered all over the city and along the beach promenade. Garden houses are mainly located in the upper part of the city in a very quiet area, 20 minutes walk far from the school and the beach.

You can choose among the following options:

Flat sharing - Single or double room.

Flats are located in the city centre a few feet away from the school, shops and shores. Students shall share the fully equipped kitchen and bath/toilet with the other lodgers studying at the school.

Prices include the following:

Weekly change of sheets. Bath towels are not provided, weekly cleaning, blankets (in winter), power, gas and water, use of washing machine, iron, TV and/or radio set.

Garden house sharing - Single or double room (only for people coming together).

Houses are located in the upper part of the city and are 20/30 minutes walk from the school, shops and shores. Students shall share the fully equipped kitchen and bath/toilet with the other lodgers studying at the school.

Prices include the following:

Weekly change of sheets. Bath towels are not provided, weekly cleaning, blankets (in winter), power, gas and water, use of washing machine, iron, TV and/or radio set.

We suggest booking this option in advance due to the limited number of garden houses available.

Family accommodation - Upon request, it is also possible to lodge with a family in single or double room (only for people coming together)

Prices include the following:

Weekly change of sheets. Bath towels are not provided, weekly cleaning, blankets (in winter), power, gas and water, use of washing machine, iron, TV and/or radio set.

We suggest booking this option in advance due to the limited number of families ready to lodge students

Apartment or independent house - Apartments are located in the city centre. Houses are located in the upper part of Milazzo and are 20/30 minutes walk from the city centre. Apartments and houses have a fully equipped kitchen and one or two bedrooms.

Prices include the following: Sheets, initial and end cleaning, blankets (in winter), power, gas and water;

Extras: Weekly cleaning € 25,00, change of sheets € 6,00 for each bed, bath towels (1 big and 1 small) € 5,00

Independent houses should be booked in advance and the price shall vary according to the period. Payment must be made at least 15 days prior to the beginning of your stay.

Hotel - there are a wide variety of different hotels in Milazzo; some of them are located in the city centre, while others are by the sea. If you choose this option, please keep in contact with the school secretary's office.

Accommodation reservation is from Saturday afternoon (2.00 P.M.) before the beginning of the course up to Saturday morning (10.00 A.M.) at the end of the course.
