Our Italian School in Chiavari

Our staff are convinced that one of the best ways to learn a language is practicing it while enjoying yourself in your spare time; that's why we will organize games, treasure hunts, parties, and other forms of entertaining to allow you to learn, while enjoying Italian or local traditions.

We will organize a weekly social program for the afternoon and evening, with excursions (leisurely walks or treks, trips by ferry-boat, etc.) to the most well-known tourist resorts in the area, cultural activities, films, parties, visits to museums, discos, picnics on the beach, dinners in pizzerias or restaurants, etc.

We will do our best to satisfy all your requests!

Excursions and activities aren't included in the course price. We will charge extra for some of the activities, depending on the nature of the activity.

Students will find plenty of sports facilities in Chiavari and the surrounding area: tennis courts, swimming pools, diving centers, sailing clubs, canoeing, horse-racing, golf and mini-golf clubs, etc.

Our school offers three different types of courses:

• Standard Group (15 lessons per week) 9.30-10.55 + 11.05-12.30
• Standard Group (20 lessons per week) 9.30-10.55 + 11.05-12.30 + 13.30-14.30

Group Courses

Courses at all levels start every Monday throughout the year. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 12.30 in the morning and from 13.30 in the afternoon (for the intensive courses).

The first lesson is based on grammar (9.30/10.55); the second lesson is based on conversation (11.05/12.30) and is followed by a coffee-break. The third lesson of the intensive courses (13.30/14.30) will include grammar, conversation, games, role-plays, simulated situations (restaurant, bar, etc), didactic tours of the city, cooking and typical recipes, etc.

All courses start on Monday, at 9.30 a.m. At the start of the course, students are given a written and oral test, in order to assess their current level of Italian.

Working in small groups (max 8 students, 10 in the summer) of various nationalities, you will experience a range of teaching methods in which cognitive, communicative, spontaneous and creative elements are combined.

All of our teachers are native Italian speakers, highly qualified, and use modern teaching methods. A textbook is given to every student after the test, which they can keep.

Individual Courses

Our Italian school here in Chiavari can offer individual courses to suit any student's requirements, on a one-to-one basis. These courses are best suited for people who need or wish to be able to express themselves fluently in Italian, in the least amount of time.

A timetable must be prearranged with the school according to the student's needs and the staff's availability.

Italian Language Courses, Chiavari, Italy - Accommodation

Apartments located near the school - those who opt for this kind of accommodation have to arrive at the school in Chiavari, between 5 pm and 8 pm on the Sunday before the start of the course, where they will be welcomed and provided with the apartment details and the keys. All apartments are fully furnished and comfortable. Every student is provided with a nice single room, and will share a kitchen and bathroom with other students. Bed sheets will not be included, please bring your own.

Double rooms in shared apartment and separate apartment available only on request.

Italian families - breakfast only or half-board. We will provide you with the address of the family before you arrive. Our friendly Italian families will be happy to welcome you as their guest. We recommend a family stay as a very effective way of learning the language.
