Summer Course in Florence & Orbetello

This summer course can be taken for 2 or 4 weeks and splits its time between Florence and Orbetello, a small coastal town in southern Tuscany.

You can take in the magnificent culture and art of Florence and then relax in one of the most untrammeled and beautiful coastal locations available in Italy.

The course includes:

• 20 or 40 hour lessons in Florence and Orbetello.
• Class size does not exceed 12 students.
• Accommodation is in a single room in an Italian family’s home or a shared apartment with kitchen access.
• Train ticket from Florence to Orbetello.
• Fun and educational activities. 
• All school materials.
• School card providing discounts at hotels, gyms, restaurants, shops, internet cafes, etc.
• Placement test and certificate.

Absolute beginners must start on the following dates: June 28th, July 12th & 26th, August 9th & 23rd, September 6th & 20th, October 25th & November 22nd.
All other levels may start any Monday.

Summer Programs on ElbaTop

Summer Sports Program: ages 15-25

This exciting 1 or 2 week summer program in Italy is on the beautiful island of Elba includes 20 hours of Italian language instruction between 9:00 and 13:00, Monday through Friday, and a wide variety of sport activities and fun and interesting excursions in the afternoons and on weekends.

Class size will be between 6 and 15 students. All course materials, the sports program and excursions are included in the course fee.

Half-board accommodation (breakfast and dinner) is provided at a guesthouse run by a Waldesian church.

Single and double rooms are available. Lunch can also be provided in a Trattoria or the school restaurant.

Sports may include:

• Diving and snorkeling.
• Sailing.
• Canoeing and kayaking.
• Water-skiing.
• Mountain biking.
• Trekking.
• Horseback riding.

Other activities and excursions may include:

• The beach.
• An aquarium.
• Boat rides.
• Treasure hunt.

Italian Summer Courses in LuccaTop

Summer Sports Program: ages 15-25

This exciting 1 or 2 week summer program in Lucca includes 20 hours of Italian language instruction between 9:00 and 13:00, Monday through Friday, and a variety of sport activities and fun and interesting excursions in the afternoons and on weekends.

The course lasts for 1 or 2 weeks. Instruction is in the mornings in closed groups of no more than 10 students. 20 hours per week of tuition is included.

The school will arrange a program of fun and educational activities and excursions just for your group. There are so many to choose from, but some include a visit to a casino, the beach and nearby communities, gelato tasting and films.

Accommodation is included in the course price. Students stay with an Italian speaking host family or in a guest house, and tour leader teachers stay in a private apartment arranged by the school or in a hotel. Arrival and departure transfers are also included.

Teen Italian Summer Course: ages 16 & 17

Summer is a great time to be a teenager in Taormina, Sicily. During the day, the beautiful beaches are full of young people, and nighttime finds them socializing on the pedestrian only Corso Umberto. The Greek Theatre features concerts, shows and the International Film Festival.

This Italian summer course includes 20 hours per week of Italian language instruction in groups of no more than 10 in the mornings, Monday through Friday.

Students are grouped according to their language level. In the afternoons, students will enjoy various fun activities also included in the course price.

Accommodation is half-board in an Italian speaking family’s home in a private room. The course can be taken for one week or more.

The course includes:

• 20 hours per week of language tuition in groups of 10 or less.
• 7 nights half-board home stay accommodation.
• 2 tennis lessons.
• 2 sessions at a gym.
• An afternoon canyoning on the Alcantara River.
• A pizza party with other Italian teenagers.

Art & History Summer Program

Learn Italian while studying art history and touring many of the fascinating archeological and historical sites of Sicily. This one week program includes 10 hours of language instruction in groups of no more than 10 and 10 hours of art history classes in Italian. You will also have guided tours in Italian of Greek, Roman, Arabic, Normand, Syracuse Empire and baroque locations. Accommodation is in either a 3-star hotel or a private studio apartment. Meals are not included. The course price does includes transport and entry fees into historical sites.

B1 or intermediate.
