Our French school in Lyon, France is located on a peninsula surrounded by two rivers in the centre of Lyon, our school's facilities are inside a beautiful 19th-century building on the banks of the Rhone in the midst of the cultural and festive offerings of the city's downtown core. Our French language school features 8 spacious, bright classrooms. With its high ceilings, each of these classrooms proudly boasts its own fireplace. The facilities are equipped with Wi-Fi service so that you can access your e-mail and surf the web free of charge; furthermore, a number of fixed computer stations are available to you. As the centre is located just a few steps away from Lyon's largest city square, the Place Bellecour, right after class you can head over to the district's many cafes and restaurants, which serve as the favorite meeting spots of Lyon's many students. Lyon's most popular pedestrian shopping zones are located in the immediate vicinity of the course centre. In addition, if you want to travel around the city, a metro station and a bus stop are just 5 minutes by foot from the school.

Standard French courses enable you to gain a solid grounding in all key aspects of the French language while allowing you to dedicate much of the day to other activities.

By enrolling on this French course, you will be taking advantage of the opportunity to progress more rapidly as you learn French. In addition to the Standard French coursework, you will attend 5 additional communication oriented lessons each week. However, you will still have plenty of free time for extracurricular activities.

Standard Group (30 hrs)

• Course duration: from 1 to 52 weeks
• 30 lessons per week
• Available all year round
• Course intake each Monday

With 30 lessons per week, this module allows students to progress as quickly as possible. With six lessons a day, you will quickly achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. If your time is limited, the 30-lesson course module may also be the right choice for you.

Individual French Courses

• Available all year round (except July and August)

To achieve your specific objectives, take a few private courses customised to suit your particular needs, goals and interests.

At the end of your course, you will be awarded a course certificate that lists all the details of the programme that you have completed and the highest level that you have achieved. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to sit one of the examinations that are offered every month at our course centres or sit the DELF examination at the regional examination centre. Regardless of your level, you will be able to sit barometer-type examinations, such as the TCF or TEF, and receive an official certificate that is recognised by the Ministère de l'Education Française (French Ministry of Education) as well as internationally.

Host family

Staying with a host family offers another dimension of language learning that takes place naturally when you are not even thinking about it during mealtime conversation or a “movie” night or while playing a board game. Homestays with host families are an excellent opportunity to soak up the local culture as you discover the mentalities, expressions, and daily lives of native speakers. Courses without accommodation

If you already have accommodation in the area, you are most welcome to study and take part in activities organised by the school like any other student. In that case, only tuition fees apply.
