For a taste of something a little more alternative, head to Queen St W. where you will find many independent clothing stores and a great collection of bistros and bars. The area between University Avenue and Spadina Avenue is a vibrant but fairly commercial strip of shops and restaurants, while the area from Bathurst to Dufferin contains the artsy scene, where you'll find independent designers, coffee shops, pubs, and boutique hotels and bars.

Our Toronto Schools Academic System is designed for the individual student, with each student receiving an individual course plan that shows what material will be covered during their course. If there is something you've always wanted to study that you don't see on your course plan, or if you miss a particular lesson, you can take advantage of our Self Study Program, where students receive free lessons and teacher feedback on the chosen subject.

20 Hour Social English
This program has been designed for students who wish to gain confidence in using the English language in informal and social settings. The timetable for the social course includes General English courses from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, with a class focusing on one of many regularly changing topics between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.
25 Hour Conversational English
Like the Social Program, this program has been designed for students who wish to communicate well in most English language settings, with an additional and stronger focus on pronunciation and fluency. The timetable for the Conversational Course includes General English courses from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, a Specific Topic Class from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and Conversational English between 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm.
30 Hour Academic English
The Academic Program is for students who need a more extensive program that covers all skills groups. While the focus on improved verbal communication will remain, students will study more in depth language skills in order to be able to make presentations, write letters, and take examinations in English. The timetable for the Academic Course includes General English courses from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, with a Specific Topic Class between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. The afternoon session includes a Conversational class between 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm, and an Academic Class between 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm.
Deluxe English Fluency
This super intensive course is designed for students who want to make the most of their time in Canada to work hard at mastering the English language. Students will receive fully individualized teaching and will progress quickly and confidently, enabling them to feel comfortable in any English language environment. The timetable for the Deluxe Course includes a Grammar Class from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, with a Specific Topic Class from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The afternoon session includes Conversational English from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm, and a Private One to One lesson between 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm
Our school in Toronto also offers TOEFL and TOEIC English courses.
Books: students enrolled for less than 12 weeks will be required to purchase course books. Each 4 week period requires two sets of books at a cost of $45.00 per set. There is no charge for books for enrollment of 12 weeks and over.

At our English School in Toronto, Canada we offer our students the chance to join our home stay with a local family program which has become known as one of the finest in Canada. Our location in a beautiful, high income area means that our students find a level of service, facilities, and safety unmatched anywhere in the country.
All our home stay families are located close to the school and to major transport routes, allowing students easy access to the downtown area as well as other attractions in the surrounding region. All of our families are inspected and interviewed by our staff before they are allowed to accept students, while feedback is regularly collected from students to ensure a high quality home stay experience for all students.
Our selection of home stay families are comprised of a wide variety of people: young and old, with and without children, executives and homemakers. This variety means we are better able to match our students with the right host family to suit their needs. Students are encouraged to share their culture with the host family, and often team up with families to cook their own national dishes. Students also take part in our famous pot luck lunches at the school.
Over the years we have found that many of our students often return to Canada to visit their hosts, and we have many stories of host families who have visited students they've hosted in their home countries. All in all we consider our home stay experience to be the beginning of an important and often life long Canadian relationship.
Home stay fees include a private bedroom and three meals a day. Accommodation is available from the Saturday or Sunday immediately proceeding the course start day and students are asked to leave their Home stay on the Saturday or Sunday following their course end date. Students requiring other arrangements should contact us at least 4 weeks in advance.
