Our school building contains 6 bright and well equipped classrooms, a student's lounge and computer room and a café on the ground floor, with free internet access available to all students.

Our English school in Edmonton, Canada is of a medium size, with an average of 80 students during the high season of July and August, while the quiet season from December to February sees an average of 60 students. Throughout the year our school employs 6 teachers who are all highly educated and very skilled in their individual fields, with all possessing a University degree and extensive ESL training and experience. We also ensure quality in our classrooms by restricting the numbers of students to a maximum of 14, while the average class size is far smaller depending on the time of year.

On the first day of a new English language course all students are required to sit a short test to allow us to place each individual in the correct level of class for their ability, with five levels available from elementary to advanced. Speaking skills are very important at our school, so throughout the ability levels students are encouraged to speak in and out of the class as much as possible.

Through years of experience teaching English courses in Canada, our English school has learnt that there is much more involved in learning a new language than simply sitting in a classroom. With this in mind our school runs an extensive activities program which runs alongside our academic courses. Our activities program is designed to encourage interaction between fellow students as well to provide extra opportunities to practice English in the local community. All our schools English courses are designed to make the learning process stimulating and effective. By using contemporary textbooks, television shows, radio programs and newspapers, our expert teachers will help you to improve your English language skills quickly and enjoyably. Our English courses all focus on practical English that can be used immediately in everyday life.

Students enrolling on our Intensive or Super Intensive English Course can choose optional classes which enable students to spend more time on topics of special interest to themselves. Optional classes include Vocabulary and Essential Expressions, Listening and Conversation, and TOEIC or TOEFL Preparation, (for the Intensive group 28 Course). We also provide a unique tutorial class that is designed to give students the opportunity for extra help on any subject. Students are not obligated to attend this one hour class every day, but it is always available for help with homework or any other enquiry. This optional class is free to all students.

Standard Group Courses

Our Standard Group Courses run on a four week cycle and consists of 20 hours of lessons per week. Classes run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Friday and are open to students of all levels who wish to improve their general language ability.

Intensive Group 24

Our Intensive Group 24 English Courses run on a four week cycle and consists of 24 hours of lessons per week. Students on this course will study general English skills from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Friday, with an optional lesson from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students can choose either the Listening and Conversation Class or the Vocabulary and Expressions Class for their optional lesson

Intensive Group 28

Our Intensive Group 28 English Course runs on a four week cycle and consists of 28 hours of lessons per week. Students on this course will study general English skills from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Friday, with optional classes from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday.

Optional classes include Listening and Conversation and Vocabulary and Expressions, as well as TOEFL and TOEIC Classes. These can be taken in the afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30.

The majority of our students choose their accommodation once they arrive at the school, with our personally recommended hotel providing comfortable and convenient lodgings while you visit the alternatives on offer. The hotel is located just three blocks from our school and offers students their first week in the city at a specially arranged price.

Home Stay Program

Our ever popular home stay program places students with a typical local family who provide a home away from home atmosphere. Through years of experience we know that living with a local family provides students with a safe and secure base while studying in an unfamiliar environment, while also providing daily opportunities for practicing the skills learnt in the classroom. Our Home Stay Program includes a comfortable private room, with study space, shared bathroom facilities and three meals a day. During the first week with us, students can visit a variety of home stay families and see their house before deciding where to stay.

Shared Student House

Student's who do not wish to participate in our Home Stay Program can choose to stay in our recommended shared house. This option consists of a private single room, with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities and offers students daily opportunities to practice their language skills with other language students in the building.

Apartments

Students who require more independence can rent an apartment close to the school. This option is recommended for longer term students with reasonable language ability, meaning they require less interaction with other students. One or two bedroom unfurnished apartments are available close to the school.
