Our English school in Brisbane, Australia is located close to the main train station in the heart of the city centre, just a short walk from the Queen Street shopping mall and many of the city's main theatre's, cinema's, restaurant's and bars. The school is also conveniently located for all major transport links, the Southbank Parklands and the city's artificial riverbank beach.

Our modern and well equipped English language school in Brisbane is housed in a spacious and naturally lit three level building, with excellent facilities that include modern classrooms, free internet access, a fully equipped student kitchen and recreation areas complete with table tennis and other games. Our English language school is also proud of its three state of the art computer labs, with multi media computers and online learning facilities. Our school also provides extensive recreational facilities, with a rooftop garden, outdoor BBQ balcony, widescreen TV and music centre and free use of an indoor swimming pool and gymnasium. There is also a newsagent, café and restaurant located on the ground floor of the school building.

In Brisbane we realise there is much more to learning a new language than just sitting in a classroom. With this in mind we operate an extensive activities program that runs alongside our English courses. Our extra curricular program is run by a full time Activities Officer who accompanies the students on all off-campus activities and can assist with reservations for car rental, travel tickets, restaurant and theatre bookings. We offer students a range of activities for both after class and at the weekends which gives plenty of opportunities for making new friends and practicing the language learnt in the classroom.

After school activities include sports such as basketball, football, ten pin bowling, tennis and ice skating, while for the less energetic we offer BBQ's, museum and gallery visits, boomerang making and trips to the city's artificial beach. Our Activities Officer also organizes a variety of weekend trips which include a two day farm stay which incorporates horse riding, sheep shearing and songs around the campfire, a two day trip to the popular beachside town of Byron Bay, camping on Fraser Island and trips to The Great Barrier Reef.

As well as providing activities to help our students feel at home at our school, we also provide many other services designed to make our language learning experience as enjoyable and effective as possible. On arrival in Australia, our staff are happy to arrange an airport pickup service between Brisbane Airport and your chosen accommodation. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with an emergency phone number provided in case of any last minute problems or delays. Our school also employs a Student Services Manager who is always available to assist with any problems that may occur during your stay with us. Our English school in Brisbane, Australia offers its students an innovative and uniquely designed curriculum known as the UFO study plan which has been created so our students can get maximum benefit from their studies. Our UFO courses ensure that all students study at the correct level for their abilities, with all students separated into 7 different levels of language knowledge, from beginner to advanced. Each student is assigned a home teacher for the duration of their course; however students are given the opportunity to study in more than one class so they can experience more than one teaching style. This also gives students the chance to meet a wider range of classmates and the opportunity to make more friends in each class.

Our English curriculum is made up of three daily components, each of which is separated into 7 different levels of ability, with a maximum class size of 15 students:

• Use of English - Students are placed in classes according to their general English ability.
• Focus English - Students are placed in classes according to their ability at speaking, listening, reading and writing of English.
• Options - Students in Levels 3 to 7 are able to choose courses related to their specific objectives. Choices include TOEIC, TESOL, Business English, English for Working Holidays or IELTS. Students in Levels 1 and 2 continue to improve their general English through Lessons and Workshops.

Our UFO Courses are open to all students, with two levels of intensity available. Our full time Intensive Group English Course consists of 30 lessons per week and is recommended for students who want to learn as much as possible during their time with us. Standard Group English Course consists of 20 lessons per week and is ideal for students who require more time off for enjoying the attractions in the area.

We also offer Cambridge Examination certificates. These certificates have worldwide recognition and are proof of a student's overall English language proficiency. A Cambridge Examination Certificate can assist students in furthering educational and employment pursuits.

Cambridge Flexi Plus

This program provides students with an intensive Cambridge preparation course that has flexible start and finish dates. Is ideal for students who, due to work or other commitments, are unable to attend a more traditional Intensive Cambridge course. During the 12 week Flexi Plus program, students can start on any Monday up to week 9 of the course. (Minimum study period of 4 weeks). At the ends of the course students are provided with an individual assessment report detailing their strengths and weaknesses to assist them with further student. Maximum of 16 students per class.

English Courses in Brisbane, Australia - Accommodation

Our Brisbane English School can offer its students a choice of accommodation, including a range of options on our ever popular home stay program, as well as our student house accommodation. All our accommodation options are inspected personally by our own Student Services staff to ensure they continue to meet our high standards. If for any reason you are not comfortable with your accommodation choice, we can provide an alternative at no extra charge. All students receive a detailed accommodation fact sheet before commencing their course.

Please Note: For students under 18 years old and students staying with a family over the Christmas period there is an additional charge of $30.00 per week.

Home Stay Program

One of the best ways to experience the culture and fantastic lifestyle of Australia, as well as being able to practice the English that is taught in the classroom everyday, is to choose from one of our three home stay options. All our home stay options include a private single room with a desk, chair, wardrobe and comfortable bed. All our families live close to a bus stop or train station, and are no more than 30 to 40 minutes traveling time from our school.

Family Home Stay

Our standard Family Home Stay option places students in a private room with shared bathroom facilities and includes a regular laundry service, breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends. This option has a maximum of two students per household, with only students of different nationalities placed with the same family.

Deluxe Family Home Stay

Our Deluxe Family Home Stay option offers students a few extra comforts including a single room with private bathroom facilities, a regular laundry service and a swimming pool. This option also includes breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends. The Deluxe Home Stay option is limited to one student per family.

Self cater Home Stay

Our Self Catering option places students in a house with no restrictions on numbers or nationality, making it an ideal choice for couples or small groups who wish to live together whilst studying. This choice includes shared bathroom facilities and breakfast only seven days a week.

Student House

Students who do not wish to take part in our Home Stay Program can choose to stay at our recommended student accommodation. This option includes a single or double room in a professionally managed environment, with shared bathroom facilities, shared kitchen and a TV room. Prices for our student house accommodation are available on request.
