Our Chinese School in Hangzhou, China is located near the beautiful West Lake in a business and education area. It is a mere ten-minute bike to the lake and the city center. Near the school is a host of facilities and scenic spots. The city's largest sports center, Dragon Sports Center, is only a five-minute walk from the school. The sports center houses such facilities as swimming pool and gymnasium. A stone throw's away is another gymnasium, run by an international group. In the area, there is a shopping mall with a huge supermarket inside.

Our teaching takes place in a supportive and relaxing environment. We believe that learning is most effective when the approach to teaching is dynamic and interactive. We rotate teachers for the class so that our students benefit from the varied strengths of our team of dedicated and professional teachers. This program is designed for long-term intensive Chinese learning, offering comprehensive trainings in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Our program has smaller class size than other long-term programs available in China, meaning that you will receive individual attention and have more participation in the class. We also have a well-structured curriculum that speaks to the needs of our students with practicality in mind. With our dynamic way of teaching, we ensure that you will learn much more and faster with us.

HSK Preparation Program (20 hrs)

This program prepares students for taking the elementary/intermediary level of HSK (The Chinese Proficiency Test) and is designed to assist them to achieve a high score on the HSK. The course content includes exam taking skills and strategies as well as general Chinese, including grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening comprehension.

Our HSK Preparation Program is run for 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks and 12 weeks prior to the exam date. So right after taking our preparation course, you can take the exam in Hangzhou - one of the Chinese cities where HSK is held.

We believe that accommodation is a fundamental part of an enjoyable stay. We therefore strive to offer you accommodation with comfort and convenience.

Shared Apartment

• All apartments, fully furnished and comfortable, have:
• Bathroom with round-the-clock hot shower
• Furnished kitchen
• Washing machine, fridge, air-conditioning, TV
• All apartments have two to three bedrooms. You will have your own bedroom. The kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared. Bedding sets are provided.

Host Family

For a total immersion in a Chinese-speaking environment, you may want to stay with a host family. All our host families are carefully selected and enjoy living and communicating with our students.

In a family, students will live a local Chinese lifestyle, and learn and speak Chinese in a real life setting. They will have a single room in the host family. Our host family accommodation is inclusive of breakfast or breakfast and dinner.

• All host families are carefully selected and continuously monitored by our school
• The host family is in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance or with a short bus ride from the school
• The host family does laundry for the student once a week
