Our Arabic School in Cairo, Egypt

Our Arabic school in Cairo is located at El-Sawah Square, Cairo - The Arab Republic of Egypt. The Center's task is to teach Arabic to non-native speakers as well as German, English and French. Our Arabic school in Cairo is officially recognized by the Under-Secretary of State for Education. This recognition is due to the fact that all teaching programs and materials of the Language Center, as well as Arabic course structures, are approved by the State Ministry for Education and Culture. Our Arabic school in Cairo meets all the conditions and regulations of private education act no. 260/1988 passed by the Egyptian State Ministry for Education and Culture.

Our Arabic school in Cairo, Egypt is one of the pioneer Foreign Language Centers to apply the “Communicative Start-Up Method” in teaching Arabic as a foreign language. We use the most up-to date technological methods of teaching. The core interest for our Arabic school is to practice Arabic in conversation and to analyze all its components regarding grammar, syntax, phonetics and vocabulary. In the lessons, we use various authentic and modern texts besides discussions and role-play to teach the language. Most important in the teaching/learning process is the efficient and active participation of the student and not the passive absorption of the linguistic structures.

Our Arabic Language Courses in Cairo, Egypt

Arabic classes will take place from Saturday to Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm. The school is closed Thursday and Friday. The time of Individual lessons can be arranged with the tutor.

Individual

These intensive courses are special and give a greater emphasis in succeeding in learning Arabic in a very short time. We recommend such special courses for all participants, and for those who need to learn Arabic for their jobs or study in an efficient way. The school-days are5 days a week, Saturday through Wednesday. The number of weekly lessons is as follows:

Group Courses

While studying Arabic in Cairo the student can utilize what he/she learns in the classroom in daily life. The limited number of lessons of this intensive way of study is more efficient for the participant than long weeks of evening classes.

The group Arabic course fee is quoted per 3 weeks but the schedule can be arranged to meet student’s needs.

Included:

• 48 units of Arabic lessons (1 unit = 45 minutes).
• Help and care from our teachers in Cairo.
• Certificate, acknowledged by the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

Excluded:

• Accommodation
• Flight, food, visas and insurance- further meals.

After registering for the courses and taking an Arabic language level test, participants are classified in the level of study suitable for them:

Level 1: Elementary I

This is for participants having no knowledge of Arabic.

Level 2: Elementary II

This is for participants having a very limited knowledge of Arabic. You know the Alphabet and you can read and write Arabic.

Level 3: Intermediate I

This is for participants having basic knowledge of Arabic with a vocabulary of about 800 words.

Level 4: Intermediate II

This is for participants who know basic linguistic structures of Arabic with a vocabulary of not less than 1500 words.

Level 5: Advanced I

This is for participants who have good knowledge of the Arabic grammar and a vocabulary of not less than 2000 words.

Level 6: Advanced II

This is for participants looking for word to mastering Arabic fluently.

Accommodation in one of our Student apartments w/ self catering (4 minutes walking from the school)

You also have the option to live in a typical residential flat ( 4 to 7 individuals, no meals) the flats are modestly furnished. There is a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and 3 to 5 bedrooms (sharing flat).

Pension

Accommodation in pension Roma down town (25 minutes by transportation) (4 minutes walking from the school)

According to your wishes, we can arrange bed and breakfast accommodation in a small hotel with an Egyptian atmosphere. Please inform us regarding the type of accommodation you prefer on your registration form.

Rooms with a bath are available for a slightly higher price; otherwise, a common bathroom is available on the floor. Please state on enrollment form.
