Imaam Muhammad ibn Saud University Program

Imaam Muhammad ibn Saud University is a program using Islamic texts as its core material. A student benefits from this through the continuous reading of various texts and becoming familiar with various terminologies. This is supported with repetitive exercises that help to memories rules easily and efficiently. The revised edition of this course has been modified for those students who may not have the time to complete the full length program. This has been done by omitting some of the Islamic textbooks. These books are now optional and are studied as additional material.

Below is an outline of what each level focuses upon.

Prep Level: Reading and Writing Arabic script, computer programs teaching letter recognition and pronunciation booklet.

• Level 6 - Writing (Kitaaba) / Grammar (Nahwu).
• Level 7 - Comprehension (At-Tabeer) / Grammar (Nahwu + Alifiyyat ibn Maalik)
• Level 8 - Writing (Kitaaba) / Grammar (Nahwu + Alifiyyat ibn Maalik)
• Level 9 - Grammar (Nahwu + Alffiyyat ibn Maalik) / Reading (Al Qira'at).
• Level 10 - Comprehension (At-Tabeer) / Grammar (Nahwu + Alifiyyat ibn Maalik).

If you prefer to study privately than you can choose any subject according to your level. You will not have an exam with the optional books unless you specifically request it.

Kitaabul Assassi is a program using daily and worldly texts as its core material. A student benefits from this also through continuous reading of various texts with emphasis on vocabulary and focusing on the language used in everyday affairs.

Tajweed and Tahfeth Al'Quran Program

Tajweed and Tahfeth Al'Quran is a program that teaches the rules of reciting and memorizing of Al' Quran.

Arabic Calligraphy Program

Arabic Calligraphy is a program that teaches the various styles of Arabic writing.

Colloquial Arabic Program

Colloquial Arabic is a program that teaches Egyptian dialect of speaking. This course is taught from one book, which is studied from cover to cover. From this course a student is equipped with speaking the local Egyptian dialect. This dialect is one of the most spoken and understood dialects throughout the Arab speaking world.

Classic Program

Classic is a program that teaches forms of Arabic poetry from the books of old.

All courses are very comprehensive which give our students an edge in their abilities with learning the Arabic language along with its vast usages.

The number of students in a classroom is minimized to help maximize learning for each individual student.

Private lessons can be started at anytime with the availability of a teacher.

Each level lasts approximately two months, that's five days a week and three hours a day. Each level has two subjects, which also include learning Arabic through visual and audio aids.

New Qur'anic Arabic Course for non-native speakers

The course has been designed to take intermediate Arabic language students (with at least 8 months prior Arabic study) directly to learning and understanding the grammar and language of the Qur'an. Its approach is revolutionary in that it enables Muslim students to realize their goal i.e. understanding the Qur'an and Arabic, at a deep level by analyzing the tafseer, nahu, sarf and vocabulary, and at the same time studying and developing their knowledge in these disciplines.

Finding the necessary living arrangements in a foreign country can be one of the hardest things to deal with so we strive to provide a service that is uncomplicated and complements your stay and studies with us.

A good apartment in Alexandria close to the school outside of the summer season costs approximately US$200, however, in the summer the prices rise 3-5 times (an apartment that is US$150 outside of summer will be around US$500 during the summer months). Please keep this in mind when planning your studies.

We offer shared accommodation for single students during the year. This apartment is well furnished, within walking distance to the school (2 minutes) and the sea and contains DSL, AC, satellite, automatic washing machine and a fan in every room.
