Languages Course Accommodation Options

Host/family stay

An ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the language and culture of you chosen location. Most host families only speak their native language so you will get lots of language practice. It is therefore an ideal accommodation option for those who wish to maximize their learning experience. Not all hosts are families, as they can sometimes be couples or even individuals. All hosts are carefully selected. Most are located within a short distance of the school, but in larger cities, they may be further away. Travel time is usually no more than 20 minutes. Bed linen is always provided and sometimes towels and laundry facilities. Hosts provide either three meals a day, with a packed lunch, or just breakfast. If you have special dietary requirements, hosts can meet your needs. You will be provided with a key for your accommodation and you can come and go as you please. Should you choose this option it is always a good idea to take a small gift as a welcome gesture.

Shared Student Apartments

This option gives you the opportunity to share with other language students studying at the school or with local students. In both cases, you will have lots of opportunity to practice your language skills. Single, double or shared rooms (if you are traveling with a friend) are offered. Bed linen is provided, but not towels Apartments are furnished, with kitchen utensils, bathroom/s and living area. This is a popular option and apartments tend to fill quickly during the summer months. A deposit is usually required, which is returned at the end of your stay, providing the apartment is not damaged.

Private Apartment

A good option for students who prefer more independence. Apartments are fully furnished and have equipped kitchens and bathrooms. Linens and towels are provided. We offer a variety of apartment sizes and costs. They are always located within a short distance from the school. You will often have to pay additional energy and water costs based on usage. A deposit is required, which is returned at the end of your stay providing no damage has been done.

Hotels

Popular with older couple or independent travelers. Hotels are well located and provide the usual hotel facilities for each category.

Student Residence

Either owned by the school directly or a local university or college. They can be large buildings with many students of various nationalities or large houses. You can choose a single, double or shared room, if enrolling with a partner. Full board, half board or no meal options are available. Kitchen access is available and you will share bathrooms and living areas, unless booking an en-suite room. Residences are often located near to the school, which can be accessed on foot or a short bus ride away.

Bed and Breakfast/Pension

Many of our locations offer classic B&B or Pension accommodation. This option can be with or without meals, but often includes at least breakfast. B&B’s and Pensions are located near to the school, which can usually be accessed by a short walk. Rooms can be single, double or shared, if booking with a partner. Rooms can have bathroom facilities or shared facilities. This option offers a more personalized experience than a hotel and is preferred by older students.
